KSU Mounting Considerations

The KSU is designed to be mounted on a wall or other vertical surface. Toshiba recommends using
the following method.

Pre-installation

1. Loosen the screws on the front cover of the
KSU, and remove the cover
2. Move the SW1 RAM Storage Battery jumper
plug strap on the motherboard to the On
position
(Figure
3. If the DK14 is less than one mile from the
central office (or PBX), set the CO line PAD
switches, SW401 and SW451, to the PAD
position to provide a 3db level loss to avoid
excessive loudness.
4. Install all optional PCBs per instructions later
in this chapter.
