Parameters
<username> - Enter the user name of the account that has been defined.
encrypt - (Optional) Specifies that the password will be encrypted.
plain_text - Specifies the password in plain text form.
sha_1 - Specifies the password in the SHA-I encrypted form.
<password> - Enter the password for the user account. The length for of password in plain-text form and in
encrypted form are different. For the plain-text form, passwords must have a minimum of 0 character and
can have a maximum of 15 characters. For the encrypted form password, the length is fixed to 35 bytes
long. The password is case-sensitive.
Restrictions
Only Administrators can issue this command.
Example
To configure the user password of "dlink" account:
DGS-1510-28XMP/ME:admin# config account dlink
Command: config account dlink
Enter a old password:****
Enter a case-sensitive new password:****
Enter the new password again for confirmation:****
Success.
DGS-1510-28XMP/ME:admin#
To configure the user password of "administrator" account:
DGS-1510-28XMP/ME:admin# config account administrator encrypt sha_1

Command: config account administrator encrypt sha_1 *@&cRDtpNCeBiq15KOQsKVyrA0sAiCIZQwq
