spark arrester assembly and bolts.
Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Apply molybdenum disulfide grease (THREEBQND
1901 or equivalent) to the bolt threads.
Install the gasket, spark arrester assembly and
bolts.
Tighten the bolts to the specified

INSPECTION/CLEANING
Remove the spark
arrest
er assembly (page 3-30).
Check the mesh screen and
gasket
is in good condi-
tion.
Use a soft brush to
remove
carbon deposits from
the spark arrester
screen.
Be careful to avoid
dam-
aging the spark arrester screen.
The spark arrester must be free of breaks and
holes,
replace if necessary.
