CRANKCASE/CRANKSHAFT /TRANSMISSION/BALANCER
Install the snap ring into the left crankcase groove
secure ly.
Clean and apply a locking agent to the countershaft P'LA,TESr.;CI "'NS
bearing set plate screws.

SET
Install the screws with the set plates and tighten the
screws t o the specified torq ue.
TORQUE: 9.8 N 'm (1 .0 kgf-m, 7 Ibf.ft)
Apply grease to the countershaft and balancer shaft
oil seal lips.
Install the oil seals to the crankcase until
it
is flush
with the crankcase su rface.

BALANCER SHAFT 0" SEAL
COUNTERSHAFT OIL SEAL:
RIGHT CRANKCASE
Remove the socket bolts and set plates.
Remove the countershaft bearing, mainshaft bear-
ing and shift drum bearing.
