FRAME/BODY PANELS/EXHAUST SYSTEM
Remove the bolts, washers and heat sh ield from
muffler.
Install the heat shield, washers and bolts.
Tighten the mou nti ng bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 12 N 'm (1.2 kgf·m , 9Ibf.ft)
Install a new gasket ont o the exhaust pipe .
Install the muffler to the exhaust pipe.
Install and tighten the muffler mounting boils to the
specified torque.
TORQUE: 26 N'm (2 .7 kgf·m, 20 Ibf.ft )
Tighten the muffler joint band bolt to the specified
t orque.
TORQUE: 21 N'm (2 .1 kgf·m, 15 Ibf.ft)
Install the right side cover (page 2-3).
EXHAUST PIPE REMOVAL
Remove the muffler (page 2·8).
Remove the exhaust pipe joint nuts, flange, exhaust
p i pe and gasket.
Remove the bolts and protector from exhau st pipe.
