Install a
new
washer and tighten the transmission
drain
bolt to the specified torque.

Tighten
the
crankcase bolts in a crisscross pattern in
two or three progressive steps.
Carefully trim the protruding gasket material from
the cylinder base gasket surface.
NOTE:
Do not let gasket material fall into the
crankcase.
• Do
not damage the base
gasket
surface.
Check that the crankshaft turns
smoothly.
After 06:
Install a new washer and tighten the
transmission
drain bolt to the specified torque.

Install the cam chain stopper plate and tighten the

agent to

tensioner bolt.
Install the cam chain tensioner,
collar,
washer and
bolt.
Tighten the
cam
chain tensioner bolt to the speci-
fied
torque.

Coat the counters haft a-ring and inside of the
coun-
tershaft
collar
with grease.
Install
the a-ring and
collar
onto the
countershaft.
Install the remaining parts
in
the reverse order of
removal.

ransmission ser-
vice
(page 12-3).
