HYDRAULIC BRAKE
If necessary, lightlv apply compressed air to the cal·
iper flu id inlet to get piston out.
Place a shop rag u nder the caliper to cush ion the
piston when it is expelled.
Do

Use the air in short spurts.

Be careful no! to
damage the piston
sliding surface.

Push the dust seal and piston seal in and l ift them
out.
Clean the seal grooves, caliper piston and caliper
piston sliding surface with clean brake fluid.
INSPECTION
Check the caliper cylinder and pistons for scori ng,
scratches or damage.
Measure the master cylinder 1.0 .
SERVICE LIMIT: 22.712 mm (0.8942 in)
Measure the caliper piston 0. 0 .
SERVICE LIMIT: 22.573 mm (0.8881 in)
