Other viscosities shown in the chart may be used
when the average temperature in your riding area is
within the indicated range.
Make sure that the O-ring on the engine oil filler cap
is in good condition and replace it with a new one if
necessary.
Reinstall the engine oil filler cap.
ENGINE OIL FILLER CAP
OIL AND FILTER CHANGE
NOTE:
• Change the engine oil with the engine warm and
the vehicle on a level surface to assure complete
and rapid draining.
Warm up the engine.
Stop the engine and remove the engine oil filler cap.
Remove the engine oil drain bolt and sealing
washer, and drain the engine oil.
TRX450ER only: With the engine stop switch in the OFF position,
press the start button several times to crank the
engine and distribute the oil.
TRX450R only: Operate the kickstarter pedal several times to assure
(
the complete oil draining.
