DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
Step
9 CHECK FUEL LEVEL SENSOR.
1)Remove the fuel pump assembly. <Ref. to
FU-62, Fuel Pump.>
2)Measure the resistance between fuel level
sensor and terminals with its float set to the full
position.
Terminals
No. 5 — No. 3:
10 CHECK FUEL TANK CORD.
1)Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2)Disconnect the connector from fuel sub level
sensor.
3)Measure the resistance between fuel sub
level sensor and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(R59) No. 1 — Chassis ground:
11 CHECK FUEL TANK CORD.
1)Disconnect the connector from fuel pump
assembly.
2)Measure the resistance between fuel pump
assembly and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(R59) No. 2 — Chassis ground:
12 CHECK FUEL LEVEL SENSOR.
1)Remove the fuel pump assembly. <Ref. to
FU-62, Fuel Pump.>
2)Measure the resistance between fuel level
sensor and terminals with its float set to the full
position.

No. 3 — No. 5:
13 CHECK FUEL SUB LEVLE SENSOR.
1)Remove the fuel sub level sensor. <Ref. to
FU-66, Fuel Sub Level Sensor.>
2)Measure the resistance between fuel sub
level sensor and terminals with its float set to
the full position.

No. 1 — No. 2:
Check
Is the resistance between 0.5
and 2.5 Ω?
Is the resistance more than 1
MΩ?
Is the resistance more than 1
MΩ?
Is the resistance between 0.5
and 2.5 Ω?
Is the resistance between 0.5
and 2.5 Ω?
