Description
The document is scanned by the scanner section,
and the scanned image is printed by the printer sec-
tion.
Referred to as the "machine", the "main unit", or the
"cm4521" throughout the manual.
Performs user authentication by scanning vein pat-
terns in the finger.
For details, refer to the manual provided with the au-
thentication unit (biometric type).
Performs user authentication by reading the informa-
tion registered on IC cards.

Provides an area to temporarily place a document or
other materials. This is also used when the authenti-
cation unit is installed.
Installed to increase the telephone lines available for
faxing.
Allows this machine to be used as both a color print-
er and a color scanner configured into a computer

Can be loaded with up to 3,000 sheets of plain 8-1/2
