Attention: To avoid breaking the DIMM retaining clips or damaging the DIMM connectors, open
and close the clips gently.
6. Are you removing DIMM 16 on an IBM Flex System p270 Compute Node?
Yes: Continue with the next step.
No: Continue with step 8 on page 46.
7. Press the buttons (A) on the side of the compute node chassis. This action opens the retaining clips
on each end of the DIMM connector that is closest to the side of the chassis. Remove the DIMM (B).
If you are removing other DIMMs, continue with the next step. Otherwise, continue with step 9 on
page 46.
