v Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem is
solved.
v See Chapter 7, "Parts listing for IBM Flex System p270 Compute Node," on page 95 to determine which
components are CRUs and which components are FRUs.
v If an action step is preceded by Trained service technician only, that step must be performed only by a trained
service technician.

Action
Replace the system-board and chassis assembly, as described in
"Replacing the system-board and chassis assembly" on page 83.
Replace the battery, as described in "Removing the battery" on page 56
and "Installing the battery" on page 56.
1. Check the Active Status log from the IBM Flex System Manager or
the Event log from the Hardware Management Console (HMC), or
the application log from the Integrated Virtualization Manager (IVM)
for any events related to power and resolve them. You can access the
Active Status log or the Event log from the Chassis Manager.
2. Check the power management policy that is in place for the IBM Flex
System Enterprise Chassis. The power management policy can affect
the amount of power that is available to a compute node, which can
cause the compute node to reduce power consumption.
3. Replace the system-board and chassis assembly, as described in
"Replacing the system-board and chassis assembly" on page 83.
