v Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem is
solved.
v See Chapter 7, "Parts listing for IBM Flex System p270 Compute Node," on page 95 to determine which
components are CRUs and which components are FRUs.
v If an action step is preceded by Trained service technician only, that step must be performed only by a trained

Action
4. Perform the following steps:
a. Reseat all of the memory DIMMs but do not replace any memory
DIMMs at this time. Reseat the memory DIMMs as described in
"Installing a DIMM" on page 47.
b. Install the compute node into the IBM Flex System Enterprise Chassis
and restart the compute node to verify whether the problem is solved.
Does the problem persist?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: This ends the procedure.
5. Perform the following steps:
a. Replace the first memory DIMM pair.
b. Install the compute node into the IBM Flex System Enterprise Chassis
and restart the compute node to verify whether the problem is solved.
Does the problem persist?
v Yes: Repeat this step and replace the next memory DIMM pair. If you
have replaced all of the memory DIMM pairs, then continue with the
next step.
v No: This ends the procedure.
6. Perform the following steps:
a. Replace the microprocessor at location P1-C22.
b. Does the problem persist?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: This ends the procedure.
c. Is a second microprocessor present?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Replace the system-board and chassis assembly. This ends the
procedure.
d. Replace the microprocessor at location P1-C23. Does the problem
persist?
v Yes: Replace the system-board and chassis assembly. This ends the
procedure.
v No: This ends the procedure.
If the SRC is B1xxB110 or B1xxB111
The system has detected that all of the I/O bridges are unconfigured.
1. Replace the system-board and chassis assembly, as described in
"Replacing the system-board and chassis assembly" on page 83.
