 Operation mode basics
• The operation mode specifies the source of the start command and the frequency command for the inverter.
• Basic operation modes are as follows.
External operation mode:
PU operation mode
Network operation mode
(NET operation mode)
• The operation mode can be selected from the operation panel or with the communication instruction code.

• There is a choice of two settings, "3" and "4", for the External/PU combined operation mode. The startup method differs
according to the setting value.
• In the initial setting, the PU stop function (function to stop the inverter operation by pressing
the parameter unit) is enabled even in the operation mode other than the PU operation mode. (Refer to Pr.75 on
