WET CONTACTS

The et Contact Dive Mode Activation feature is active any time
ET ACTIVATION is set ON.
The El i te T3 is configured with contacts that wil l automatical l y
activate Dive Mode when the space between the contacts is
bridged by a conductive material (immersed in water) and it
senses a Depth of 5 FT (1.5 M) for 5 seconds.
The contacts are the pins of the PC Interface Data Port and the
stems of the Push Buttons.
As l o ng as the contacts are bridged on the Surface, the graphic
ET wil l al t ernate with the graphics NORM and SEA (or EL2 to
EL13) on the NORM SURF MAIN screen (Fig. 68). Al s o on the
GAUG and FREE SURF MAINs.
Upon removing the bridge between the contacts (drying the El i te
T3), the graphic ET wil l no l o nger be displ a yed.
The El i te T3 wil l continue checking for Depth, until a dive is
made or it shuts Off after 2 hours after activation.
