The El i te T3 wil l store oxygen accumul a tion cal c ul a tions for up to
10 dives conducted during a 24 hour period. If the maximum
l i mit for NORM dive oxygen l o ading has been exceeded for that
day (24 hour period), al l of the segments of the O2BG wil l be
displ a yed fl a shing.
Depth/Time val u es wil l not appear in Pl a n Mode until the O2BG
recedes into the normal zone (l o wer 4 segments) indicating that
your dail y oxygen dosage has decreased an amount equival e nt
to the amount accumul a ted during the l a test dive compl e ted.
The El i te T3 al s o features a 5 segment NORM/GAUG Mode
Variabl e Ascent Rate Indicator (VARI) (Fig. 8a) that provides a
visual representation of ascent speed (i.e., an ascent speedom-
eter). The segments of the VARI represent two sets of speeds
which change at a reference depth of 60 feet (18 meters). Refer
to the chart for segment val u es.
a
WARNING: At depths greater than 60 feet (18
meters), ascent rates should not exceed 60 feet
per minute (18 meters per minute). At depths of
60 feet (18 meters) and shallower, ascent rates
should not exceed 30 feet per minute (9 meters
per minute).
