Time Setting

Time Setting allows you to set the time manually or through an NTP server. Network Time Protocol (NTP) is used to
synchronize computer clocks on the internet. You can configure NTP settings here to synchronize the clocks of several
switches on the network.
The RocketLinx ES7506 also provides Daylight Saving function.
Time Setting
Manual Setting: Click Manual setting to change time as needed. You can also click the Get Time
from PC button to get PC's time setting for switch.
NTP client: Select the Time Setting Source so that the NTP client permits the RocketLinx ES7506
Time Setting Source
to enable the NTP client service. NTP client is automatically enabled if you change Time source to
NTP Client. The system sends a request packet to acquire current time from the NTP server you
assigned.
Select the time zone where the ES7506 is located. The following table lists the time zones for

different locations for your reference. The default time zone is (GMT) Greenwich Mean Time.

Time Setting
Description
You can assign the gateway for the switch here. The default
gateway is 192.168.250.1.
Note: In the CLI, use 0.0.0.0/0 to represent the default
gateway.
Click Apply to apply the settings.
Note: You must Save the settings (Page 104), if you want to
maintain these settings if the RocketLinx ES7506 is
powered off.
