Upgrading Firmware

There are several methods that you can use to upload the latest firmware into the RocketLinx switch.
Use the following procedure to upload the RocketLinx ES7506 firmware file into the RocketLinx using NetVision.
1.
Locate the firmware by selecting the Software page that corresponds to your RocketLinx switch by accessing the
Comtrol FTP site
.
2.
Highlight the RocketLinx switch (or several of the same RocketLinx switches) and note the
firmware version.
3.
Right-click and select Firmware Upgrade.
4.
Browse to the location of the firmware file, select the file, and click Upgrade.
Status will first display Firmware uploading and then displays Firmware
Burning in the Status field.
5.
Verify that when the Status field is empty, that the version number is
different.
6.
Click Discovery to update the display.
Optionally, you can use the Web GUI
firmware.

Upgrading the Bootloader

Use the following procedure to upload the RocketLinx ES7506 bootloader into the RocketLinx.
1.
Locate the firmware by selecting the Software page that corresponds to your RocketLinx switch by accessing the
Comtrol FTP site
.
2.
Highlight the RocketLinx switch (or several of the same RocketLinx switches) and note the
version, which is displayed in (parenthesis).
3.
Right-click and select Boot Loader Upgrade.
4.
Browse to the location of the firmware file, select the file, and click Upgrade.
5.
Click Discovery to update the display.
6.
Verify that when the Status field is empty, that the version number is different.
