Creating a new avoidance point

graphically
961/962 Operations and Reference Manual, Rev. A
The avoidance point that you find during your search will
appear in the list at about the third line from the top, which
lets you easily view avoidance points that are above and below
the found avoidance point.
You can create and store up to 200 avoidance points in the
database. There are two ways to create and store a new
avoidance point:
graphically—on the CHART screen—by moving the cursor
to any position and storing it
numerically—by entering the coordinates at the
AVOIDANCE POINTS screen
You can create a new avoidance point right on the CHART
screen. To store the cursor location as an avoidance point:
1. On the CHART screen, press the CURSOR PAD to move
the cursor to the desired location (to establish a precise
position for this new avoidance point, press the IN or OUT
keys to zoom the chart view in or out).
The lat/lon coordinates are shown on the CURSOR INFO
BAR.
2. Press the CURSOR menu key.
The SELECTED CURSOR POSITION dialog box
appears. If desired, you can change the coordinates
before moving to the next step.
