KNOW YOUR CAR
COMBO
Restraining lattice
The cargo should be secured so that it cannot slip and must not obstruct the driver's
view in the mirror.
The restraining lattice helps to protect the occupants if the cargo does move,
for-instance, in an accident or sudden braking. It should, therefore, be in position at all
times when carrying goods in the rear compartment.
It is recommended that:
•
loads are placed up against the restraining lattice
•
long, thin items of cargo are positioned width-ways across the vehicle to minimise
penetration risk
•
objects are not attached to the front of the restraining lattice.
