Cleaning cloth trim
Where the seats in your vehicle are upholstered with cloth, the following instructions
should be observed.
Most loose dirt and dust can be removed by a vacuum cleaner or soft brush.
DO NOT use a whisk broom or a coarse hair brush.
If normal soiling should take place it is recommended that the fabric be sponged
lightly with warm water containing a detergent and a small amount of ammonia. The
fabric should then be rubbed lightly, and if necessary, sponged again to remove
anything stubborn. Soak up excess fluid with a dry cloth. Holden Velour Fabric and
Vinyl Cleaner may be used sparingly.
Vehicles with air bags
Use only a dry cloth or mild cleaner to clean the steering wheel and instrument panel.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents.
Cleaning carpet
Thoroughly brush or vacuum the carpet. In many instances the carpet may require no
further cleaning. If the carpet is extremely soiled, thoroughly vacuum it to remove loose
dirt then, using Holden Velour Fabric and Vinyl Cleaner, clean approximately 1 square
foot at a time. After each area is cleaned, remove as much of the cleaner as possible
with a vacuum cleaner.
Cleaning seat belts
Cleaning of seat belts can be carried out by using a mild non-abrasive soap and
lukewarm water. After washing be sure to thoroughly sponge the washing solution out
of the belts.
WARNING:
Do not bleach or dye seat belts since this may severely weaken them.
Cleaning interior glass
The interior glass area of the vehicle should be cleaned using Holden Glass Cleaner
with a clean soft cloth. Care must be taken when cleaning inside the rear window so
as not to damage the demister.
Never use abrasive cleaners on any vehicle glass, as they may cause scratches.
