LOCKS
Keys
Before placing the key on your key ring, remove the key code number from the key (if
it is still attached). Please keep it in a safe place, together with the vehicle card
containing information about the engine immobilizer, away from your vehicle. Then
if your key is lost, replacements can be ordered through a Holden Retailer by quoting
the key code number and providing proof of ownership.
Free turning door locks
The door lock cylinder is designed to free turn if it is forcefully rotated without the correct
key or if the correct key is not fully inserted. To reset, turn the lock with the correct key
until its slot is vertical, remove the key and then re-insert it. If the lock still free turns,
turn the key through 180 degrees and repeat the operation.
Note: This feature is provided as a theft deterrent – to prevent the lock being forced
open. The force required to make the key 'free turn' reduces each time. As the force
gets easier with each 'free turn' please do not attempt to demonstrate or test this
feature, and always remember to fully insert the key when locking and unlocking the
doors.

your vehicle is covered for the first 3 years by Roadside Assist, refer to Chapter 9.
Child safety rear-door switches
(4 door models)
Child proof switching helps prevent rear
doors from being accidentally opened by
small children inside the vehicle.
The switches are provided on the rear
edge of rear doors, accessible when the
door is open.
Using the key, turn the switch away from
the vertical position: the door cannot be
opened from the inside. It can only be
opened by pulling up the inside door lock
button and then raising the outside door
handle.
WARNING:
For safety, check that the child proof switch is operating correctly (after
setting) by trying to open the door from inside the vehicle.
