Ignition
LOCK: Ignition off, steering locked when
o
key is removed.

OFF: Steering unlocked, ignition off.
II ON: Ignition on.
III START: Start the engine.
Release steering column lock
To release the lock, move the steering wheel slightly and turn the key to position I.
Lock steering column
To lock the steering column, withdraw the key in the lock (
WARNING:
Do not turn the engine off while the vehicle is moving. Power assisted
equipment (such as brakes or steering) which are operated by the engine
will be ineffective. Vehicles with a manual transmission: Never remove the
key while the vehicle is moving as this will lock the steering wheel.
Vehicles with an automatic transmission have a lock which prevents the
key from being removed while driving. Refer to Chapter 4.
Audible warnings
An audible warning will remind you when you are leaving the vehicle and:
•
you have not removed the ignition key (single tone)
•
you have left the headlights on (dual tone).
