Long objects and tall objects
To transport long objects in models fitted
with rear seats, fold the rear seat backrest
forward as previously described in this
Chapter.
To transport tall objects, unhook the
luggage compartment cover at the tailgate.
Remove the cover from the side guides
and place it behind the seat backrests.
Note: Avoid transporting bulky objects that
cause the tailgate to be open or ajar. This
can allow exhaust fumes to enter the
vehicle.
Heavy objects
Heavy objects in the luggage compartment
should be placed as far forward as possible
against the rear seat backrests (if fitted) or
the restraining lattice (if fitted). In models
with rear seats, if the rear seat backrests
are folded down, position the objects
against the front seat backrests. Ensure
that backrests are locked in position.
No loads should exceed the maximum
allowable vehicle weight. For weight
limitations refer to Chapter 10.
Hanger hooks (if fitted)
On the back of the rear seat backrests two
hanger hooks are provided on which carry
bags may be hung. The maximum load per
hook is 10 kg.
