SCSI Element Addressing

In M-Series libraries, SCSI element addressing follows this basic scheme:
•
Drives are assigned consecutive addresses, starting at 80h. If a drive
bay is disabled, it is not assigned a SCSI element address.
•
Data elements are assigned consecutive addresses, starting at C0h.
•
Import/export elements are assigned consecutive addresses, starting
at B0h.
