678 Appendix A:Troubleshooting a WSS
Mark messages are disabled by default. When they are enabled, WSS Software generates a message at the
notice level once every 300 seconds by default.
To enable mark messages, use the following command:
WSS# set log mark enable
success: change accepted.

Saving trace messages in a file

To save the accumulated trace data for enabled traces to a file in the WSS's nonvolatile storage, use the
following command:
save trace filename
To save trace data into the file trace1 in the subdirectory traces, type the following command:
WSS# save trace traces/trace1

Displaying the log configuration

To display your current log configuration, type the following command:
WSS# show log config
