Lock out and tag out the vehicle (see Locking Out and Tagging Out the Vehicle on page 14).

Enter the hopper on the left side.

Check for leaks.

Inspect the rubber bumper (see Figure 3-112). Replace if necessary.

Lubricate the front grease fitting of the chute pivot (on units with an automated arm) [see Figure
3-110].

Exit the hopper.

Lubricate the back end of the chute pivot using the remote grease fitting located on the right side
of the hopper (see Figure 3-111).

If, during your inspection, you found structural damage, unusual wear, distortion, cracking,
leaning or leaking, report your findings to the maintenance personnel.
