Parallel Menu

Menu items
Bi-directional
specifies whether or not bi-directional
communication should be activated.
If your computer does not support bi-
directional communication, this setting
should be at "OFF"
I/O timeout
indicates how many seconds the printer has
to detect whether a print job has finished or
not.
An I/O timeout occurs if the printer cannot
recognize the end data code of a print job
sent from a computer.
If an I/O timeout occurs with a PCL setting
active, all data still in the printer will be sent
to output and the printer returns to "Ready"
status
If an I/O timeout occurs with a PC setting
active, all data still in the printer will be
deleted and the printer will return to "Ready"
status.
* Menu items are only displayed if the optional unit is installed.
