Working with the printer's Control panel

System menu

Menu items
Job Language
indicates the language in which the
computer and printer will communicate with
each other. If the setting is "Auto", the
language will be changed automatically.
PCL jam recovery
specifies whether the printer saves
documents in PCL mode until output is
complete.
PS jam recovery*
specifies whether the printer saves
documents in PS mode until output is
complete.
This menu item is only displayed if a
PostScript SIMM memory module is
installed.
Power Save
specifies how many minutes after the last
print job will elapse before the printer's
power save mode is turned on if no other
print job takes place.
Auto Continue see page 9-24
indicates when the printer will automatically
resume printing after an error or warning
message.
Time out
indicates how the printer will behave after a
Paper size error or a no-paper error from
manual feed takes place.
Priority Feed
specifies the tray from which paper will first
be used if "Auto" is set in Print Menu/Paper
Source.
Lock Tray
indicates a tray that no paper should be
used from if "Auto" is set in Print Menu/
Paper Source.
This feature is not available if the optional
PostScript SIMM memory module is
installed in the printer.
