Save Environment*
indicates whether downloaded fonts,
samples, macros, etc. should be stored if
the printer receives a new print job that uses
other settings.
Example:
If fonts are stored in the printer's RAM with
the PCL 5e setting, they will be deleted if the
next print job uses another environment
than PCL 5e.
If you want to switch back and forth between
saved settings, there are two options: Hard
Drive and RAM. The hard drive option
requires a hard drive as well as increased
RAM storage capacity. The RAM option
requires only increased RAM storage
capacity.
The minimum storage space required to
support the "Save Environment" feature is:

Note:
Data written to a hard drive remains intact
until it is overwritten or the hard drive is
deleted. The "Save Environment" feature
has no effect on fonts, samples, macros,
etc. that are downloaded to the hard drive.
In addition, downloaded fonts, samples and
macros etc., are saved when the settings
are changed and after the printer has been
turned off, even if the "Save Environment"
feature is set to OFF.
PS Error Info*
specifies whether a PostScript error page
will be generated or not. An error page will
be generated if a PostScript print job is
canceled.
This menu item is only displayed if the
PostScript SIMM memory module has been
installed.
