4. Disconnect the rear park brake cables (6 and 8) from the equalizer (2) and remove the equalizer.
PARK BRAKE EQUALIZER INSTALLATION – CABLE ONLY SYSTEM
1. Connect the equalizer (2) to the ends of the rear park brake cables (6 and 8) (Figure 6-12, Page 6-19).
2. Insert the threaded adjustment rod through the equalizer.
3. Install the cup washer (4) against the equalizer (2) followed by the cone washer (3) and two nuts (1) in their
original positions and orientation. Tighten the hex nut, closest to the equalizer, until the cable is taut.
4. Secure the spring (1) to the end of the threaded adjustment rod (2) and the chassis (Figure 6-14, Page 6-21).
5. Adjust the brake cable equalizer. See Front Park Brake Cable Adjustment – Cable Only System on page 6-18.
