Voltage Measurements

Voltage measurements include 15 kinds of voltage parameter measurements.
1. Pk-Pk: The peak-to-peak value is the difference between Maximum and Minimum
values.
2. Vmax: Maximum is the highest value in the waveform display.
3. Vmin: Minimum is the lowest value in the waveform display.
4. Vamp: The Amplitude of a waveform is the difference between its Top and Base
values.
5. Vtop: The Top of a waveform is the mode (most common value) of the upper part of
the waveform, or if the mode is not well defined, the top is the same as Maximum.
6. Vbase: The Base of a waveform is the mode (most common value) of the lower part of
the waveform, or if the mode is not well defined, the base is the same as Minimum.
The Y cursor shows the value being measured.
7. Vmea: The arithmetic mean over the first cycle of the waveform.
8. Mean: The arithmetic over the entire waveform.
9. Stdev: Standard deviation of all data values
10. Vstd: Standard deviation of all data values in the first cycle
11. Vrms: The true Root Mean Square voltage over the entire waveform.
12. Crms: The true Root Mean Square voltage of the first cycle in the waveform.
13. Overshoot: Overshoot is distortion that follows a major edge transition expressed as
a percentage of Amplitude. ROV means rising edge overshoot and FOV means falling
edge overshoot.
