Electrical Connector

Teledyne Hastings vacuum gauge tubes interface with the HPM 4/5/6 via the included octal connector. The
connector is "keyed" so that proper connection is assured (only fits the correct orientation). Always grip the
connector by its cover and not the cable when plugging or unplugging. In some cases, corrosion may build up on
the gauge tube pins. To ensure a good connection and accurate readings, use Scotch-Brite or an equivalent
abrasive to clean the pins when needed.
NOTICE: Disconnecting the gauge tube by pulling on the cable may result in damage to the octal socket
and/or cable. Always disconnect by pulling on the octal connector directly.
