Faults detected by the self-monitoring system of the measuring device are displayed as a
diagnostic message in alternation with the measured value display.

Interference echo
Wrong tank type selected.
Possible cause
The total level is detected outside the
upper blocking distance.
The total level runs into the upper

Wrong dielectric constant (DC value).

high due to a wrong dielectric constant.
The thickness of the upper medium is
less than 60 mm (2.4 in).
Emulsion layer present.

Remedial action
Carry out mapping over entire probe when
the tank is empty (® ä 124).
Set the Tank type parameter correctly
