CDI communication does not
work.
Device measures incorrectly.
Parametrization errors for level measurements
Error
Measured value wrong
No change of the measured
value when emptying/filling
the tank
Diagnostic event F941 or S941
"Echo lost" appears after
switching on the supply voltage.
Device displays a level when
the tank is empty.
Possible cause
Supply voltage does not match the value
indicated on the nameplate.
The polarity of the supply voltage is
wrong.
The cables do not contact the terminals
properly.
Contrast setting is too weak or too
strong.
The plug of the display cable is not
connected correctly.
Display is defective.
Wrong setting of the COM port on the
computer.
Parametrization error
Possible cause
If measured distance(Setup ®
Distance) matches the real distance:
Calibration error
If measured distance(Setup ®
Distance) does not match the real
distance:
An interference echo affects the
measurement.
An interference echo affects the
measurement.
Build-up at the probe.
Echo threshold too high.
Level echo suppressed.
Incorrect probe length

Remedial action
Connect the correct voltage.
Correct the polarity.
Ensure electrical contact between the cable
and the terminal.
• Increase contrast by pressing O and F
simultaneously.
• Decrease contrast by pressing S and F
simultaneously.
Connect the plut correctly.
Replace display.
Check the setting of the COM port on the
computer and change it if necessary.
Check parameterization and adjust it if
necessary (see table below).
Remedial action
• Check the Empty calibration
parameter and adjust it if
necessary(® ä 119).
• Check the Full calibration parameter
and adjust it if necessary (® ä 120).
• Check linearization and adjust it if
necessary (® ä 137).
Perform mapping (interference echo
suppression) (® ä 124).
Perform mapping (interference echo
suppression) (® ä 124).
Clean the probe.
Check the Medium group parameter
(® ä 119).
If necessary select a more detailed setting in
the Medium property parameter
(® ä 128).
Ausblendung löschen und gegebenenfalls
neu aufnehmen.
Carry out probe length correction
(® ä 145).
