9.3 Using NTP to Sync the Meter Clock

SoundAdvisor Model 831C
On your 831C, go to Tools
the Time page displays.
There are several ways that you can update the time on the meter: by using GPS, NTP
servers, PC clock, or by manually setting the time. This page is designed to be manually
updated. However, when your time zone is set accurately, the time automatically updates
for Daylight Savings time.
You can also sync the 831C with the time on your PC by using G4. For more

The 831C communicates with NTP servers to sync the internal clock with the most
accurate time. This requires a valid Internet connection through Ethernet, wireless
modem, or WiFi.
Before you begin:
• Set the correct Time Zone on your meter (Menu
Time).
Step 1.
On the meter, go to System Properties.
Step 2.
Press the right softkey (
Step 3.
Enter the Primary and Secondary NTP Time Servers as shown in Figure 9-2.

any syncing, adjust this and select Set Time. If
you have set up NTP time, it is not necessary to
