12.1 Troubleshooting a Bad Flash Block Error

The Flash memory device used by the 831C contains a controller that performs dynamic
bad block mapping. In the event that a flash block fails after it's written, you may see a bad
flash block error message.
If this occurs, download and save your data from the 831C to a USB drive or PC, and then
select Check File System for either the internal or USB storage as shown in Figure 12-1.
This feature forces the controller to re-map all bad blocks.
