7.2 Performing the Measurement

SoundAdvisor Model 831C
Before you begin:
• Charge or provide uninterrupted power for your meter for the measurement
duration. For details, see 2.2 "Powering the 831C SLM" on page 11.
• Create a measurement setup file for this measurement as shown in Module 6
Creating a Measurement Setup.
Complete an Area Sound Field Check as shown in 7.1.2 Performing an Area

Sound Field Check.
Step 1.
Navigate to the Live View
Step 2.
During the measurement, the meter may display any of the following
indications:
Keypad LED Indicators
When performing a measurement, the state of the 831C is indicated in several ways:
measurement state icon, Overall display animation, and the red and green illumination of
the STOP/STORE and RUN/PAUSE keys.
