18.2 Creating an FFT Setup File On the Meter

Step 4.
Choose values for the Sensitivity settings, as follows:
a.
Select a unit from the Sensitivity drop-down menu.
b.
From the y-Axis Scale drop-down menu, select Linear or Logarithmic, then
choose Save.
Linear chart label intervals are determined by using a consistent
TAKE NOTE
interval. Logarithmic chart labels are displayed in Base 10 format. This scale is
best to show large (exponential) fluctuations or very small values.

In this section, save the measurement properties, Auto-Store preference, and meter run
preferences in a setup file, which can be used for your ISO compliant FFT and Tonality
measurements.
This section shows FFT-specific properties and settings and also refers you to portions of
Module 6 Creating a Measurement Setup for non-FFT related settings. If you plan to
measure tonality, this module also includes instructions for creating a measurement Setup
file that's fully compliant with ISO 1996-2 and ISO/PAS 20065.
Before you begin:
Configure your meter storage preferences as shown in 8.1 Setting Data File
Storage Preferences.
Please note that any chosen Mic Correction settings are not applied in FFT
Mode.
Step 1.
Highlight the Default FFT Setup in the Setup Manager list, then press Enter

In the pop-up menu that opens, select Save As, enter a unique name, and press

With the new FFT setup highlighted in the list, press the right softkey
