Step 3.
Update your meter firmware to version 4.5 + as shown in 14.2 "Upgrading 831C
Firmware by Using G4 LD Utility" on page 109.
Step 4.
Set up an Administrator account as described in Section 2.2 of the G4 LD Utility
Manual. Be sure to choose a security option.
Step 5.
Reboot the meter to update to a secure (HTTPS) connection.
If a meter is connected to your PC using the included USB cable, you bypass
TAKE NOTE
the log on and authentication process and have direct access to the meter. To
take advantage of 831C security, establish a network connection via WiFi, TCP,
or Bluetooth.
