The 831C monitors:

Measure sound using run, stop, pause, and resume measurement

Display broadband and spectral sound values on a full-color display

Log simultaneously to time, statistical measurement, and event
histories

Use markers to annotate portions of time histories, including voice
annotation
•
Automatically back up data to prevent data loss on power failure

Calibrate using a Precision Acoustic Calibrator, and store calibration
