17.2.1 Using (Continuous) Daily Auto-Store With Event History

Storing Event Data.
Event history data can be displayed during a measurement and after it has been stopped.
The 831C provides 3 data storage methods:
To manually store a data file after a measurement is stopped, press the Stop/
Store button
To automatically store after a measurement, set your Auto-Store preferences as
shown in 8.1 Setting Data File Storage Preferences.
To schedule regular, daily storage, enable the Daily Auto-Store feature as shown
in 17.2.1 Using (Continuous) Daily Auto-Store With Event History.
The 831C Daily Auto-Store feature provides a convenient way to store measurement data,
especially when tracking acoustic events. The regular, daily storage periods create smaller
files, and make it easy to access and navigate each event in the measurement.
Daily Auto-Store is available when you select Continuous Run Mode on the Control tab of
the measurement Setup.
When using this feature, longer events may continue over from one auto-store period to
another. The 831C handles this circumstance in the following ways:
