Restart utility

The Restart utility can reboot your Matrox Iris GT, restart the operating system
or web server, and, if your Matrox Iris GT uses DHCP, get an IP address from the
LAN's DHCP server.
Syntax
\>Restart [Methodn] [IP]
Parameters
• Methodn. Specifies the restart method, where n is a number from 0 to 8:
Method 0 = Do nothing.
Method 1 = RESET CPU and HALT unit.
Method 2 = RESET CPU and PCI.
Method 3 = RESET CPU and PCI (Boot in SAFEMODE).
Method 4 = RESTART OS.
Method 5 = RESTART OS (Boot in SAFEMODE).
Method 6 = RESTART WEB SERVER.
Method 7 = RENEW IP until [IP] found.
Method 8 = Power cycle.
Note that all options except 6 and 7 will cause the current telnet session to
disconnect.
• IP. Specifies that your Matrox Iris GT will wait until DHCP assigns it the IP
address provided. If you specify a complete IP address, your Matrox Iris GT will
wait until DHCP assigns it that specific IP address. If, however, you specify an
incomplete IP address, your Matrox Iris GT will wait until DHCP assigns it an
IP address within that subnet. Note that the IP parameter is only required if
Method 7 (Renew IP until [IP] found) is selected.
For example, to wait to be assigned an IP address in the 192.168.17 subnet, you
would use the following command
\>Restart 7 192.168.17
To wait to be assigned an IP address in the 192.168 subnet, you would use the
following command:
\>Restart 7 192.168
