Matrox Iris portal website

Once your Matrox Iris GT has joined your network, you can browse to the Matrox
Iris portal website, which exists on your Matrox Iris GT. The Matrox Iris portal
website allows you to configure your Matrox Iris GT smart camera, find other
Matrox Iris GT smart cameras on your network (using the Matrox Discover
utility), view a live image from your smart camera (using the View utility web
page), update the firmware, and handle licensing information. For information
on how to access the Matrox Iris portal website, refer to Using the Matrox Iris portal
website section, in Chapter 5: Accessing Matrox Iris GT.

Discovery utility page

The Discovery utility page searches your LAN for Matrox Iris GT smart cameras
using Universal Plug and Play (UPnP).
Description
Finds all Matrox Iris smart cameras on your network (including Matrox Iris GT, E-Series, and P-Series smart
cameras). Clicking on the Discovery button begins the search. Once found, the list of discovered smart cameras
on the network is displayed. Click on the Model URL link to go to a specific smart cameras.
For each smart camera found, the following fields are displayed:
Description
Specifies the network name and IP address of the particular smart camera found. This is
either the automatically generated name, or the static network name (chosen by you). This
name appears even if your smart cameras is configured not to use DHCP . This value can be
changed on the Identification settings page, which can be accessed from the
Administration utility page.
Specifies the uniform resource name (URN) for smart cameras. URNs are persistent
identifiers for referencing network resources.
Specifies the universal unique identifier that begins with "uuid" (Universally Unique
Identifier) for the par ticular smart camera found. The last segment of this number is the
MAC address of the particular smar t cameras.
Specifies a link to the Matrox Imaging website.
Specifies a link to the particular smart camera found. Note that, even if your network does
not use DHCP , this link will still work.
Specifies the model name of the particular smar t camera found. This value is directly
associated with the hardware of your smart cameras and cannot be changed.
