Connecting a light controller to an auxiliary output signal

You can control a lighting device with a light controller that is connected to
auxiliary output signal 4 or 5 of your Matrox Iris GT. For example, you can
control a strobe that is connected to a strobe light controller with these signals.
Note, to connect a lighting device directly to your Matrox Iris GT, see the Powering
and controlling a LED lighting device with the Matrox Iris GT controlled-current
output section, later in this appendix.
Connect Matrox Iris GT auxiliary output signal 4 or 5 directly to the digital input
pin (for example, a TTL In) of the light controller. You should connect the ground
of your Matrox Iris GT and the ground of your light controller to a common
ground. When the auxiliary output signal is disabled, the light controller turns on
the lighting device.
Matrox Iris GT auxiliary output signal 5 (AUX(STB)_OPENC_OUT5) is an
unmodulated signal that can turn the light controller on and off. The duration of
the signal's pulse is specified by your MIL program.
