Installing Matrox
Iris GT utilities
To install the Matrox Iris GT utilities DVD, insert the Matrox Iris GT
utilities DVD in a DVD drive on your development computer and follow all
on-screen instructions.
When installing Matrox Iris GT utilities on your development computer, you
must choose from one of the three types of installation available:
• Typical. A typical install is for developers and provides the minimum number of
files possible. It does not include additional rescue and sample files.
• Compact. A compact install is for users only, and provides the client portal and
required Microsoft Windows XP and Vista compatible tools. Note that when you
choose the compact install, the Matrox Iris GT SDK is not installed.
• Custom. A custom install is for developers and is the recommended setup. By
default, all components are installed.
Note that the Matrox Iris GT SDK is only installed with a Typical or Custom
install.
During installation, keep in mind the following:
• If you need to change the default disk/partition and path in which to install Matrox
Iris GT utilities, remember that MIL for Microsoft Windows CE and Microsoft
Visual Studio should all be in the same disk/partition, although they can be located
in different paths. We recommend you use the path that is assigned by default
(that is, \Program files\Matrox Iris GT Utilities).
• To install the Matrox Iris GT SDK automatically, select IrisGT SDK for
Windows CE from the Select Features installation window.
