You can control powered strobe lamps with auxiliary output signal 4 or 5 of your
Matrox Iris GT. Note, to connect to a strobe lamp that requires Matrox Iris GT
to provide the power, see the Powering a strobe lamp with the Matrox Iris GT strobe
output signal section, later in this appendix.
Connect your Matrox Iris GT auxiliary output signal 4 or 5 directly to the negative
voltage (-V) of the strobe lamp. The strobe lamp activates when the connected
Matrox Iris GT auxiliary output signal is enabled (ON).
Matrox Iris GT auxiliary output 5 (AUX(USER)_IND_OUT5) is an
unmodulated signal that can turn the strobe lamp on and off. The duration of the
Matrox Iris GT auxiliary output signal 5 pulse is specified by your Matrox Design
Assistant project.
