Maintenance that Should Be Performed More Than Once a Month
- When Manual-Cleaning Becomes Necessary
- Performing Manual Cleaning
!! IMPORTANT !!
- It is a very important work to maintain the heads/UV lamps in good condition and must be done
periodically. If the LED lamps are contaminated with ink, the ink fired on the media is not cured
appropriately.
- Use the included cleaning liquid for cleaning the head and the commercially available glass cleaner for
the UV lamps. Never use the cleaning liquid and glass cleaner the other way around.
- Never use the cleaning stick that has already been used to clean the head for cleaning the UV lamps and
vice versa.
- To prevent the print heads from drying out, nish the cleaning in 30 minutes or less.
When the Dot Drop-Out of White Ink Cannot be Cleared
- White Ink Replacement
Ink Renewal
When the precipitation of the white ink hardens, perform the [INK RENEWAL] in the Users Menu. This
maintenance requires two cleaning cartridges.
Ink Circulation and Ink Discharge
The ingredients in white ink tend to settle. Therefore, when the machine is left more than eight hours
without any operation and receives a white ink job, the machine executes the ink discharge and drains
the ink of C Group (White and Gloss) automatically. The white and the gloss ink are comsumed 7.5cc
each.

- Important Note on Draining Ink
Temperature and humidity
Specified temperature and humidity must be maintained even if the machine is not in use (essential
condition). When the temperature is too high, the alteration of ink may damage the machine. And, when it is
too low, frozen ink may damage the print heads.
