If the printing-test results are dif cult to interpret, examine the results from different angles in a well-
lighted location. Take advantage of re ected light to enable visual checking. We recommend performing
the printing test on transparent or silver-colored media.

Printing
!! IMPORTANT !!
- Use the media clamps when using media that is less than 0.5 mm (0.02 inches) thick. Otherwise the
edges of the media may warp and catch on the print head.
- If you are using media that is less than 0.5 mm (0.02 inches) thick, do not use the media clamps if [HEAD
HEIGHT] is set to [LOW]. The media clamps may catch on the print heads, damaging the machine.
- During output, never touch the media. Doing so may obstruct media feed or cause the media to rub
against the heads, which may result in a paper jam or damage to the heads.
- Keep the loading lever raised when the machine is not in use.
