After turning on the Main Power SW, turn on the Sub Power

SW while pressing the Left, Right and Down keys to enter
the Service Mode.
Select [I/S MENU] > [I/S CONTROL] > [CAP] > [CLOSE],

and press the [ENTER] key to move the Capping Unit up 1
step. Then press the [ENTER] key 2 times more to Cap the
Heads with adjusting the position of the Head Carriage.
Perform the following adjustments and check.

1. [4-9 Belt Tension Adjustment]
2. [4-10 Belt Position Adjustment]
3. [4-5 Limit Position & Max Scan Width Initialize]
< Note for fi xing the Carriage Cover >
Fix the Carriage Cover temporarily with the 2 screws as shown in
the fi gure. And tighten them without distorting the Cover.
Be careful not to distort the Carriage Cover.
The Carriage can be distorted and it may cause the
head position problem.
The screws for fi xing the Carriage
Cover are the screw with washer.
